Announcing Dognition Beta Wave 3 – and a Giveaway!

2013 is off to a great start here at Dognition. We’ve been listening carefully to feedback from our beta testers and making major improvements to the Dognition Experience. We’ve simplified instructions, made our games more fun to play, and added rich new videos. We’ve even used your suggestions to come up with great new features that we’ll include when we launch Dognition to the public.

Today, we’re keeping the momentum going with two big announcements. First, we’ve invited a third wave of beta testers to try out Dognition. If you were called on in Wave 3, we hope you’re excited to complete the games in the Dognition Assessment Toolkit and learn more about the canine friends in your life. Don’t forget to let us know how it went by completing the post-Toolkit survey! We want to know what you loved and what you’d like to see us do differently before the next beta wave, scheduled for later this month.

Our other announcement is for everyone, including those of you still waiting to try the Toolkit. Starting today, to mark the fact that we’re listening to our beta users, we’re looking for photos of your dogs listening to you, in what we call “Show Us Your Head Tilt.” Dogs often tilt their heads when we talk to them. Does yours? Snap a photo or shoot a video, and then share it on our Facebook Timeline. We’ll choose our favorite three head tilters by Friday, January 18, awarding them advance copies of The Genius of Dogs by Dr. Brian Hare and Vanessa Woods. This revolutionary book, published by Dutton and released on February 5, lays the scientific groundwork on which Dognition is based. We think you’ll love it.

So, if you’re part of the latest beta wave, let us know how it’s going. For everyone out there with a curious canine, don’t forget to show us your head tilt on Facebook!
